Home and glad to be home and back into the swing of normal. Between Christmas and then the flue an then NY, it feels good to be home!
We have started back up our Library Classes. Finally got into the Hummelstown Library class, which is in walking distance to our house. I have been trying to get Addison in this class for months and it kept filling up before I could sign her up. I have to admit though, after all the disappointment of not being able to get her in the class is not as exciting as Hershey Library. The teacher expects the kids to sit on the parents lap and listen and only get up at planned times. The class is 45mins, thats a LONG TIME for a 2 and a half year old to sit still. Luckily Addison still enjoyed going, as she LOVES the Hummelstown Library. It will be nice to go in the Spring, when we can actually walk or for Addison ride to class! We are still going to Hershey Library on Wednesdays, Addison LOVES this class and the kids really get into it which is great for Addison, as she is soo full of energy! I also recently signed her up for gymnastics on Mondays. She LOVES the class. Stephen and I both felt that she would do better in gymnastics then ballet, as she is practially fearless and determined to "Do it", if other children are doing it. I always say "Anything they can do, Addison can do it too" LOL!! Beween Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday our AM's are packed with fun activity, that by Thursday I am exhuasted and ready to have a day at home... lol! This has been great though for getting us out of the house during these cold, dreary, windy days of no snow to play in and not much to do inside. We are also thankful for 2 great friends Maddy and Owen to play with on Thursdays and Fridays :)
Potty training has gone awesome this month! When we got back from NY, I decided to try potty training in the evenings, after nap. Things had started to click in NY and bc I didnt think I could take all day of constant sitting on potty just to get the candy. (Also our AMs are soo busy) I decided we would potty train in the evenings. We had accidents at the beginning every once in a while, but she slowly started gettting it and when I felt that she was to the point of going on her own, without me constantly saying... "Do you need to pee on potty?" I started moving her to underware in the AM, Thurs/Fri and Sat, when we werent running around. (She is obviously still in diapers at nap and overnight) I can say, when I started the evening thing and then AM, I would ask her about a million times, "Do you need to PEE on Potty?", I would always make her go, as soon as she got done eating dinner and I would ALWAYS PRAISE and SING and go get candy right away to reward her. I also would always say when I put her in her panties "Addision you are in big girl panties, what does that mean" and she would tell me "Pee on Potty" and I would then say "What do Big Girls get when they Pee on Potty" and she knows "CANDY" lol! I also always say "And when we have to go potty, what do we do?? WE RUN!!!!" She is really getting it and I am super excited!! I am also really excited, bc I was super worried with all of her consitpation issues that she would not poop on potty and it would be a disaster however, she just got it! It was like she knew, we pee and poop on potty! We have recently tried going out for walks in her panties and the other day we went down to the gas station in her panties and didnt have an accident. I have also ow tried going out for periods of time in her pull-up and she will tell me, "OH Pee on Potty, Mommy" and we go to the restroom and I find she does have to go and hasnt gone in her pull-up!! She is really rockin the potty-training and it feels soo good to know we are almost there!!! Recently however, I did notice with all the potty training and washing of hands that she was getting a rash from the the Bath and Body works soap, so we have switched to plain dove soap. Poor girl, seriously has the most sensitive skin, breaks out in a rash so easily!! Wondering how she will do with makeup someday!!
Naps are still going really well, I rock her for every nap and usually within 15-20mins she is out. This has made life a lot easier for me and for her, giving both of us a break and her less temper tantrums :)
The cold still seems to follow Addison into this month, its like we get a 2 week break and we are right back at it again. It seems to have hit her harder this month than last, but I think we are on the upside of things. At least for now before spring hits and her allergies go insane... Seriously cant wait for summer!!
Our biggest challenge this month has been talking back. Its awful bc she is copying me, basically telling me what I tell her. "I told you NO"! "Dont tell Me, NO" "Do not talk to Me" (that way, she leaves that part out) She basically yells this at me, when I tell her not to do something or ask her to give me something she has. The other thing she says is "GIVE ME this or that". I feel like I am constatnly saying- "Addie that is not how we talk to Mommy, what do you say if you want something" Basically trying to get her to say "Mommy/Daddy, PLEASE may I have this or that" I feel like this is an every day 2-4 times conversation and she isnt getting it and just keeps yelling "GIVE ME" Its frustrating bc once again, I know she has gotten this from me, as I will say after several times of asking her to give something to me, "Addison give it to Mommy, right now" So clearly she has gotten this from me!! I guess we are both learning!! I do find it funny though that she will tell me, "My Mommy says, No slamming doors, or No standing on chairs, or no jumping on furniture or no throwing our toys." LOL! I guess she is getting some stuff!
Addison as always fills our days with laughter and funny comments. I have recently started to get her to tell the mirror "Lucky World" she is soo funny, bc she cant say "L" so it comes out "Yucky World" seriously soo funny! She is filled with constant "I love you Momma" "I love you Daddy, more than the whole world" she is very lovey and loves to cuddle!! Our little bookworm, as I call her, cant ever seem to get enough books out of the library for her. She loves to sing, wondering if singing will be something she will carry into her future. Loves to do crafts and color and of course play with her best buddies, Maddy and Owen.

December/January
Trying to catch up on the last 2 months of blogging, as the time has flown by. So before I forget!!
December
A fun filled month for our little Addison. Christmas trees, decorations, presents, family and special memories. It was a great month to really talk about the importance of Christmas. So special to talk about the Nativity set and hear her name each one and then tell us who's Birthday it is. Addison loved every part of the holidays and we loved watching her enjoy it. With every passing season and holiday, Addison has made them so much brighter and it is so special to see her get excited and understand a little more.
Addison has fully gone into size 3T clothes at 2 and a half years old. No doubt she is definitly going to be tall. She is our little chatter box, constantly amazing us with how much she knows and understands and remembers. She can now say several words together, almost sentences, making conversation so much easier and super cute to hear what she comes up with and what she has to say!
We spent Christmas in Florida with my family. We drove and surprisingly Addison did a lot better than expected. We drove through the night and it did help, however some little girl slept from 830-1AM and then was awake from 1-4:20AM. At 3:30 AM I said to her "Addison, you need to go to sleep" and she proceeded to tell me "Not tired, Mommy, Addie tried!" lol! Shockingly she wasnt fussy, just didnt go to sleep. We had a great time in FL. The weather was freezing, but we did manage to get in a couple trips to the pool. Our little fish of course only wanted to be in the big pool, so we all took turns getting out of the hottub to swim with her. She loved her gifts, especially her bike from Great Grandpa and Great Grandma and I know it will be a big hit this summer. Luckily the trip home went alot smoother and she slept much better.
Our biggest challenge this month was Addison decided herself that she no longer needed a nap. I was lucky if I got 2 naps in a week. Yes, I realize at some point, children no longer need naps, but no naps for our Addison turned into major Temper Tantrums! Clearly showing us, she is not ready to give up naps, even though she thinks she is! Luckily Grandma to the rescue at Christmas was able to get Addison to nap and the holidays went very smoothly.
January
January flied bye, as no sooner did we get home and in entered the flue. Got to love this time of year! With the flue behind us almost 2 weeks later. Addison and I headed to NY for a 2 week mini vaca. Our little girl LOVES the snow and it was no surprise that she Loves sledding!
Our little girl is just so full of life and excitement. So adventurous, fearful of nothing, very strong-willed, but has such a sweet heart. She truly is a good little girl, but is just a typical 2 year old, testing her bounderies! Her little chatter fills our days with laughter! Crazy, how at 2.and a half years old, she is already "Telling Stories".
After months of fighting, December being basically a No Nap Month! I have resulted to rocking her to sleep for her naptime. I always said, I wanted her to be able to put herself to sleep and not have her be dependant on me for putting her to sleep. But after December and major temper tantrums from no naps I needed to come up with something. She will usually fall asleep within 10-15 mins of me rocking and it makes a world of difference. I dont rock at bedtime, she gets books and puts herself to sleep. So for now its working and it is a special time to see my little girl curled up in my arms sound asleep!
Our big thing of the month we or should I say "I" decided to start potty training. This was something I had been putting off, bc I was dreading it!! LOL! But, I decided to bite the bullet, after several comments were made about how Addie wasnt potty trained yet. I decided to do the "Potty Train in 3 days" program. Basically let your child run around naked, pump them FULL of liquids and take them to the potty every 20mins. So I put a dress on her and socks, as we are in the dead of winter, handed her her sippy and we were off!! Well, I made it a day and half when I put her back in a diaper and said she is not ready!! I felt like I had a wild animal running around my house peeing!! My dog was never even this bad as a puppy!! After continuous times of peeing on my pottery barn rug and then the final straw, climbing into her stuffed animal bin and peeing all over them. I had it!! She clearly WAS NOT GETTING IT!! I thought if she could just pee once, get candy, that it would click. But I was not soo lucky!! LOL!! So we headed to NY, brought the potty seat and tried with pull-ups. I can say she is starting to understand that if she pees on the potty, (As we got a couple accidental pees on the potty, so I made a HUGE deal every time) she will get candy and CANDY well thats a big deal, bc we dont give her a lot of candy! I think though that she is semi-grasping it!! She will sit there forever though, bc she wants that candy!! lol!! Hopefully in the next few months it will really start clicking!!

October
This month starts a new season in Adddison's and my life, as I have left my job to become a stay-at-home mom. This was a very hard decision for me, however I am happy to report, It hasnt even fazed Addison that she no longer goes to day-care. I was worried, I would have to hear her ask for them everyday, but she doesnt, making this transition alot smoother for her and for me. We spend our days, going to the Library, going on walks, meeting up with friends, having lunch with Stephen, going to the Park, running errarnds or just hanging around the house, which those days I try to do a craft. Our biggest challenge is not leaving the TV on. I have had to make it a point to turn it off and really monitoring it. I am not a big TV watcher myself, however, it is really easy to turn it on and almost forget its on. I am trying to make sure we find OTHER things to do, coloring, crafts, play with legos, dress up, tickle time, reading books... ect. I try to get out every AM and do something or I find that both Addison and I go stir crazy!! The biggest challenge has been finding things to do. I have signed her up for a Library class that starts in another week and that will run every WED until Christmas, but every other avenue I have explored either costs to much or they are full. Praying God will open a door and help me meet some new moms that we can connect with that live local.
Addison is talking in leaps and bounds 3-4 words at once. Really enjoyed this time, as she is starting to really communicate with us and we can really understand her. Favorite Phrases - "I did it Mommy"! "Addie do it", Good Mommmy?", "Luv you" I love how sensitive she has become - "Mommy OK?" "Oh bobo... All better" "I kiss it", The hardest part has been her repeating things you dont want her to say and hearing "NO" and "I SAID NO" screaming these at me. Talk about so embarressing and draining. Especially when I am out and she starts screaming " I SAID NO" while running away from me. Time out now occurs while we are out. The other big thing that we noticed this month was how much she is remembering things we have told her before! It blows me away the things that she remembers. 'She can sing the whole ABC and count up into the teens... Definitly Thankful she is at an age of communication, but I can say 2 year olds can be very challenging!
Her alleriges have come back in full force this month, so we took her in for testing, still waiting for results, but are hopeful they will find something to help her endure these seasonal months. This last year was a long year with Addison's allergies being at peak and us being able to do nothing for her. The other thing that picked up this month was her eczema. She had it last year, but only on her face and the Eucerin cream, cleared it all up! This year though it has come in all over her body, but red dry patches all over her. Luckily after 2 weeks of red, blotchy miserableness, the Eucerin cream, Oatmeal baths and running her humidifier during naps and beditme have finally cleared her up!!
Addison got to experience her first Trick or Treating and she LOVED it! She was our little Owl, cutest Owl I ever saw! She was a little timid at first, but by the 5th hous, she knew what she was doing and definitly didnt need any help or help with carrying her pumpkin full of candy!
November
This month has flown by, cant believe we are already at Thanksgiving! Addison and I are now in full swing of me being a stay-at-home Mom and we are both adjusting to this season! I can say we both have our days of probably being tired of one another. Naptime has become more important than ever before (lol at least for me) as I need this time to rejuvinate! 2 year olds are HARD WORK!! Temper tantrums, "I SAID NO", Running from me, are in FULL FORCE!!! Im not going to lie, some days can be VERY Draining!!! But even in those days, Addison and I find our special moments that melt my heart and remind me of this very special gift I have been given and how I wouldnt TRADE HER FOR THE WORLD!!!
Her little chatter fills our days, with questions "Whats this Mommy?", "What Else Mommy?" She now says, "Oh My Goodness" ALL the time and its super Cute! She can tell me if something hurts/itches and where it is. Its almost like at times we can carry on coversations... She is my little singer! loves to sing songs, especially ones that have hand motions! She espeically loves "This litle light of mine, Im going to let it shine"
She started her first Library classes this month and she LOVES it and it has been nice to have something to look forward to every week. We also look forward to visits with Owen and Maddy and being able to meet new friends! Thankful that November has not been too cold and we have been able to still go on walks and have PARK days! And if we dont make it to the park, thankful that we have a big yard with a swing set for plenty of outside FUN! Just not thrilled with it being dark by 430/445.
We did move her to zantac allergy medicine, which has made a world of a difference and we moved her rug out of her room to help eliminate dust pile up. Very sad to remove this rug, as this was something I really just had to have for her room, but it is just stuff and she is more important!! Since we started the Zantac and moved the rug, we have seen such MAJOR improvment!! it been so great!
This month although it has been hard at times, has been such a reminder to me of the precious gift I have been given and how important this time is with her.... I am truly Blessed beyond measure!

27 Months
27 Months -
We started out this month at the beach with my parents and my brother. It was such a special time, as my brother had not seen Addison since Christmas. The beach was definitly a highlight of the year and Addison LOVED it! We would pull the car down the main strip and she would already be saying "Oh Fries, fries." HAHA.. she picked up real quick we have fries at the beach every day. She also LOVED to be buried in the sand EVERY DAY.. several times. I think we all took turns every day buring her, making for a major mess of sand when it was time to leave. The water was really calm while we were there and she even got to go out and enjoy the waves. LOVED watching her chase the sea gulls, jump the waves. Just special moments watching Addison with my family.
This month in general has probably been one of my favorite months in Addisons development. Her speach is really coming around and she is finally starting to put multiple words together. She has also become really aware of her surroundings and is now rememebering what we tell her or just things from earlier in the day or even from the day before, telling us about them. She is doing so good at connecting things together and it has been so much fun to watch and listen. She is also more and more repeating us, which at times can be very scary and has made us be more careful what we are saying. Just so in love with her connections to things and her love of life. - Telling me every day who she is going to see and every night, when I say "Good night, Mommy loves you" - "Dada too", "Ganma too", "Pepa too", "Byon too" - "Addison where does Uncle Bryan live?" - "Forida" and "Where does Ganma and Pepa live?" - "New Ork" - "Addison where is Daddy right now" - "Wok". Everything lately is "Addie too" or "Addie's Turn" - It melts my heart to hear her say "Tank too, Momma" she says it all the time and I think my heart could burst with love. Her little words when she is told that she has been disobediant and that it hurts Mommy when she disobeys - "Sarce (Sorry) Momma". She has really developed a LOVE of singing. So many songs she knows and the words, melts my heart to hear her sing... She can now point out the animals, even the hard ones and Tell you their sounds. This has been a month of discovering her dollies. She LOVES her dollies. Carrying them around - everywhere. Singing to them, wrapping them in blankets and feeding them. Giving them kisses. I seriously cannot get enough watching her with her dolls.
I moved Naptime to 130 and usually after lots of books and a fun packed AM, she will pass out. I have noticed a nap after 2 PM is almost never going to happen and I have had to come to full terms that sometimes you may use up TONS of energy and put them down on time and they still will not nap!! and then you just move forward with an earlier bed-time. Which I can say is very hard, bc I am such a routine person, that earlier bedtimes throw me off schedule...lol!
We still spend our days reading books over and over. Now that it has gotten cooler we have gone to the Library a ton, PARK fun has come back. This summer we spent our days at the pool or playing outside in our yard with the sprinkler, kiddie pool ect. WAY to hot to go to the PARK!!

The water was really calm while we were there and she even got to go out and enjoy the waves. LOVED watching her chase the sea gulls, jump the waves. Just special moments watching Addison with my family.
This month in general has probably been one of my favorite months in Addisons development. Her speach is really coming around and she is finally starting to put multiple words together. She has also become really aware of her surroundings and is now rememebering what we tell her or just things from earlier in the day or even from the day before, telling us about them. She is doing so good at connecting things together and it has been so much fun to watch and listen. She is also more and more repeating us, which at times can be very scary and has made us be more careful what we are saying. Just so in love with her connections to things and her love of life. - Telling me every day who she is going to see and every night, when I say "Good night, Mommy loves you" - "Dada too", "Ganma too", "Pepa too", "Byon too" - "Addison where does Uncle Bryan live?" - "Forida" and "Where does Ganma and Pepa live?" - "New Ork" - "Addison where is Daddy right now" - "Wok". Everything lately is "Addie too" or "Addie's Turn" - It melts my heart to hear her say "Tank too, Momma" she says it all the time and I think my heart could burst with love. Her little words when she is told that she has been disobediant and that it hurts Mommy when she disobeys - "Sarce (Sorry) Momma". She has really developed a LOVE of singing. So many songs she knows and the words, melts my heart to hear her sing... She can now point out the animals, even the hard ones and Tell you their sounds. This has been a month of discovering her dollies. She LOVES her dollies. Carrying them around - everywhere. Singing to them, wrapping them in blankets and feeding them. Giving them kisses. I seriously cannot get enough watching her with her dolls.
I moved Naptime to 130 and usually after lots of books and a fun packed AM, she will pass out. I have noticed a nap after 2 PM is almost never going to happen and I have had to come to full terms that sometimes you may use up TONS of energy and put them down on time and they still will not nap!! and then you just move forward with an earlier bed-time. Which I can say is very hard, bc I am such a routine person, that earlier bedtimes throw me off schedule...lol!
We still spend our days reading books over and over. Now that it has gotten cooler we have gone to the Library a ton, PARK fun has come back. This summer we spent our days at the pool or playing outside in our yard with the sprinkler, kiddie pool ect. WAY to hot to go to the PARK!!

August
Once again we were able to start off the month visitng my parents for a long weekend and finally our little girl named my parents and is calling for them. GANMA and PEPA... Love it and so very special to hear her call for them.
So many fun new words - Tank Too for Thank you (which we worked on really hard) - Excuse me - (even knowing when to say it..lol) Her big phrase is "OH MAN" lol.. its soo funny and she has perfect timing! Singing. Our little girl LOVES to sing.. I always hear her singing away, its amazing how many songs she knows... makes me wonder if she might sing more (in front of people) as an adult. (Jesus loves me, twinkle twinkle little star, baba black sheep, rock a bye baby, God Bless America - def some of the favs) We are working on what sounds all the animals make and it is the cutest thing to hear her say their sounds.. Rooster - instead of Cock a dododle do.. it comes out AAAAAAAAA dooo!! LOVE IT!!
Naps are still our constant battle. This has been a month of at least 1 day (out of my 4 days with her during naptime) where she outright will not nap. I have had to come to terms that there are going to be days that she might just miss it, not by my lack of trying. However, if she is reading, singing, laying in her bed, she is still resting.. even if she isnt sleeping!! VERY hard to accept. But, I am working to accept that we are going to have days of no napping and then we just move forward with an early bedtime.
A fun month of just playtime at the pool, playing with her cousins, funtime with Owen, walks in the evening. July was really hot.. August has been a little more breathable - the only problem is the bugs!! Just enjoying every minute of our little girl.... So many new words, new phrases and just her little personality comeing to light.. GREAT smile! Some days its like I cant get enough of her!!

2 YEARS old (25mo)
We started off this month visiting my parents/family in NY for 13 days. Stephen joined us the first week and then Addison and I stayed on for the 2nd. Our days were spent swimming at Great Grandpa and Grandmas house, lunch at the beach, napping in the afternoon and then other activities in the evening from Pool fun, Campground playground, Rodeos, petting zoos, Ice cream, train rides, a family fun night that included a bouncy house, boat rides and a movie night! We had lots of fun days, filled with visits from friends that made the beach all around a lot more fun. Addison took to the water like a champ. We could not believe how completely fearless she was and before we knew she would be out neck deep. Yes, I want her to not have a "Fear" of the water, but I want her to understand that it can hurt you. But she was our "Little Fish" as I would call her!! Making naptime a breeze, as she would be so worn out from the sun and swimming. Its our days visiting that make me wish I lived in NY and could offer her all the fun memories I had growing up, but she will make her own memories and that's life!! Hard to come home, but yet at the same time, missing Stephen and ready to get back to normal.
We came home to Addison starting back at Jens Place Childcare! Jen was an answer to prayer, as Addison had been with Jen from 4mo -19mo and it was a hard adjustment when she let Addison go, but God reopened the doors back at Jens and we could not be happier. Addison is doing wonderful and Jen even seems to think Addison remembers her. Addison now calls her "Nenny" as she cant seem to get out the "J" for Jen, calling for her the whole ride to her house and getting super excited as we pull in. Jen started Addison off on a cot, which had me EXTREMELY nervous, but she seems to understand that she cannot get off!! I guess only time will tell. All around though we could not be happier with Addisons adjustment back to Jen and just that there was a spot back there for her!!
All around Addison is just fulling turning into a little girl and really walking away from her baby years. She is so aware of what is going on around her and understands so much. She is constantly amazing us with what she knows and understands!! She is talking like crazy now. Repeating us constantly and even saying words we didnt even know she could say. We can actually at times have conversations, bc there is an understanding. She learned her first 2 separate words while we were in NY and I could not be prouder. YES, she could say 2 words but they were always the same.. beep beep, bye bye, zoom zoom, tickle tickle, but she put 2 separate words together and I could not be more prouder than to say they were "Yes, Please", she also learned, bye bye ducks and bye bye boat and I believe she is saying "Dont want too"... haha!! It sounds very much like it and it usually comes out when it is something she clearly doenst want to do!! We have learned a lot about her personality. Addison is a very shy at first child, once warmed up she is full of smiles, laughs and just all around chatter. She is very independent, strong willed and fearless. She loves other children and loves to play with them. She is fearless and motivated by what other children are doing around her.. If they can do it, she can do it and she will figure it out. She loves to look at books, magazines and her all out favorite is to look at pictures. Pictures of herself or of people she knows. She is our little lover.. loves to give hugs and kisses and will now say "Mua" after she kisses you. She loves to snuggle and sit on your lap, she loves girly things, dolls, stuffed animals, makeup, beads, haha! Its like she is super girly yet has a tom-boy attitude, as she is so fearless. Another super sweet thing is her love for singing and how much she enjoys singing with you. She doesnt know all the words, but she knows important words to the songs and its soo sweet! Her favorite song seems to be Jesus loves me... truly melts my hear to hear her sing it over and over..
Our biggest struggle this month has been the paci. We never really had a problem with it. She was not a baby that relied on it. Yes, she would use it at naps and bedtime and even this past year, she knew she got it at naps and bedtime, but this month it has full out become an issue. She thinks she needs it ALL the time, making matters worse, she has learned the word. So she screams, calls for it. She knows she only gets it at naps and bedtime yet she struggles so much with letting it go. Wondering how at this point, I am ever go to drop the paci!!
Still working on the Potty training. I will run the bath and then put her on it. IF I say do you have to pee she will push like she needs to pop, she clearly is not comprehending the potty.. haha!! and now as soon as I get her off the potty, I have to quick put her in the bath or she will pee all over the floor... .really not grasping this concept!! HAHA!! However this month she now will all of a sudden hold herself when she pees and if she poops she will tell you and run to the changing table. So we are getting somewhere.
I wanted to say that I personally decided to stop charting her. I used to chart everything she did! While it was extremely helpful it was something that controlled me. I decided that the day she turned 2 I was done charting, as her birthday was on a Sunday and that started a new week. LOL! I still chart in my head, but I no longer feel controlled by this charting. It was hard at first to let go, but I felt so controlled by it, like someone would look at it and think, oh wow, your daughter only slept this long or your daughter ate that and I realized it wasn't worth it. The pressure of no charting has eased my life in so many ways.
This month has just been all around fun, great memories and I could not be happier or feel more blessed with all that God has given us!! Addison has made my life complete!!
2 YEARS old
Is it possible our little girl is 2 years old!! Where did the time go? Our month has been filled with preparing for our little girls Birthday and we have stayed very busy. Hersheypark water park fun, Visit from Gandpa and Grandma, Owens (best Buddies) birthday and just good old summer fun!!
Our little girl is talking more and more every day... its like she started and hasnt stopped!! and every week she tells us another word!! She constantly amazes us with how much and how quickly she is learning!! Naps are still our day to day struggle!! After books had been advised several times, I finally decided to bite the bulltet and try books in the crib!! Since I have only been doing this a week now, I can see it has made a major difference and really calmed her down!! I tried the CIO method again for 5 days last week and I was at my witts end!! CIO did not work the way it had before and I was seriously thinking Naps might need to be dropped as I was running out of steam and energy! But after a hard lesson I had to learn, I finally decided that I really needed to work on my patience and try out something different and well... books its is!! Once again, I am amazed at how well Addison responded to the books and she has finally stopped fighting the naps!! For NOW!! haha!! Ask me next month!!

Nana and Poppa bought her one we dont over push her, as everything we have read said to ease into it, but we do encourage her to use it. She can say Pee and Poop and understands that she should Pee and Poop on the potty, yet I cannot seem to get her to Pee on the potty. lol!! So it is a work in progress!!!
Addison was let go from her daycare this month and once again made us sit back and ponder if I should be a stay-at-home mom. This came at such a happy time in our little girls life, as she was celebrating her 2nd birthday. Hard to be strong and not allow fears to take over, but we were confidant that God would show us what his plan was for both Addison and us.
The highlight of the month.. Addison turned 2. Ice cream party with lots of outdoor fun! Family and special friends came to help make Addison's day soo special!! Pool, bouncy house, sprinkler and fun new toys, along with cake pops and ice cream sundaes were the highlight for our little girl!!
Addison has continued to fill our hearts with so much loye and laughter as she becomes more and more her own little individual! Just full of life ... loves to give hugs and kisses, just constantly overwhelming our hearts as she learns new things and new words. YES, being a mother of a 2 year old has its days! Addison is very strong-willed, determined, independent child, but such a love for life and she has filled our hearts with such laughter and happiness!
