My toddler!

Crazy to think that Addison is a year old!  No more little baby, but a child that is walking.... no RUNNING!  Non stop playing, laughing, exploring, not wanting to miss out on anything.

This past month has been full of so many surprises, didnt realize how much your child could learn in 1 month!!  This has definitly been a Developmental month.. a month where Addison is connecting the dots and it has been so much fun to watch her learn and explore!

We started this past month, visiting in NY for 10 days and we had soo much fun.  Our days were spent at Great Grandma and Great Grandpas house swimming, playing, eating the sand... such a fun time to be with Grandma and Grandpa Nelson.  Our vacation definitly wore her out and she slept awesome.

Back to reality and life.. it took Addison about a week to re-adjust, but thats what vacation is, FUN and not always staying right on schedule. (haha, yes that comment is more for me, as Im such a schedule person and yes, I think this happend once I had Addison...)  Where to even begin on all that Addison has learned this month....

   1.  She now waves, you will say bye bye and she will actually wave at you.   She has been waving off and on prior to a year, but now you can say "Wave, bye bye" and she does it (for the most part).  She will even says BYE!!!!  not very often, but every once in a while she will say it.
   2.  She has finally figured out, not only do we take the toys out of the basket, but we put them back, she first did this in NY and now she does it all the time, "Help mommy put these toys away"  and she immediatly starts helping... soo cute.  I will pull out all her toys for bathtime and within minutes she will  have put them all away... I think she then realizes.. I dont have any toys left to play with  and then out they come.. lol!
   3.  We have this toy that is like a pillar and has 4 stars that start off big and get smaller, the point is to stack them on top of eachother on this pillar.   Well, she has finally figured out, not only how to take them off, but how to put them on, lol... not always in the right order, but its a start!!
   4.  Our stuffed animals are talked to now, "Hi, Hi, Hi, HEY!!  HEY!!!  sooo cute to listen to her talk to them.  Almost like she thinks they will talk back.
   5.  She knows what the kitty says... You cant say... "What does the kitty say and she will answer you butthe girl that watches Addison has a cat and the cat always meows, so Addison now will meow when she sees the cat... I havent actually heard her say it, but Jen says its quite humorous to hear!
   6.  Well... she has finally learned how to climb up on our furniture... YES, chairs, couch ect... not the bed, as it is still a little high, but I think we spend all day.. up, down.. up, down.  This starts off strong and luckily our teaching her how to get down, has paid off.   BUT after a while she gets tired, now, NOT tired of WANTING To get up on the furniture, but tired of pulling herself up there, which results in getting very upset and crying and yelling involved.  Quite funny, to watch, but not soo funny for her.
   7.  She has really discoverd GA, whenever GA comes in from outside she gets a Treat!  Well, Addison now wants to give GA her treat.  As soon as she hears GA come in, she immediatlly runs over to where teh treats are and stands there looking up at them....so cute!  I will hand ADdison GAs treat and she will give it to GA.. haha.. sometimes!  I think its a battle in her mind to hand it over...lol!  She will also now, as soon as we get home, immdiatly run to where we keep GA during the days that I work.. its just soo sweet to see her so excited to see GA.

This past month, we moved up to the next stage car seat... such a BIG girl in her chair and I think In a lot of ways she seems a lot happier, as she has more room to move around and she sits a little higher, making it easier to see outside!!  She recently popped another tooth, the top right fang, didnt even know it was possible to pop that one, before the top middle... poor thing, she is going to have a FANG!...lol.. hopefully the middle two will come in soon.  She is just so full of energy.. going.. going.. going... soo fearful she might miss out on something, yet shy at the same time, is that even possible!  So curious over everything.. LOVES puzzles and books, I wouldnt say she is the best at being read too, but she will sit there and look through them over and over.

Eating has been going really well and even adapting to milk has gone over really smoothly... still trying to figure out napping.  We are currently in the transition of going to 1 nap, but still 2 naps if we find that she needs it.  This has been a very difficult transition, but due to the fact that Addison has really started to fight naps ever since we got back from NY, I feel that we will take one day at a time, but slowly start transitioning to 1 nap... lol.... OH if only children could come with a manual.  lol!  I guess we will figure it all out... In the meantime, just enjoying every moment with our little girl!
